Oak Repairs Completed at Crossley Hall

After months of painstaking work the first tranche of oak frame repairs have been completed at Crossley Hall.

Using carefully selected air dried European oak, hand tools and traditional techniques the contractors, Carpenter Oak and Woodland, have now fully restored the front and side elevations, leaving the roof, rear elevation and internal partitions to complete. But work has been temporarily suspended pending the outcome of revised applications for Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent to replace the original rear extension with a contemporary glazed oak frame.
