AWA appointed for restoration of Medieval hall.
We have been instructed to prepare proposals for the restoration and remodelling of the late C16/ early C17 Crossley Old Hall.
This Grade II listed oak framed farmhouse on the outskirts of Congleton is in very poor condition but retains much of the original oak frame and a substantial number of wattle and daub infill panels. The owners would like to restore the building and bring it back into use as a family home.
Working closely with specialist consultants, contractors and Planning/ Conservation Officers at Cheshire East Borough Council we are developing proposals that are sympathetic yet practical, merging contemporary design with traditional materials and techniques to create an exciting fusion of new and old.
