Planning and Listed Building Consent granted for Crossley Hall.

Proposals for remodelling and restoring Crossley Hall have been granted Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent by Cheshire East Council.

The original scheme for a single storey rear extension, wrapped around a glazed winter garden, all in loadbearing masonry construction has been superseded by proposals for a two-storey wing to be constructed as an extension to the north cross gable, with a three storey stair vice, all as a contemporary glazed oak frame.

The gabled dormer to the front elevation has also been increased in size and complexity, based on surviving records for a nearby house of similar size and date (now demolished), and the brick caps to the massive chimney stacks will now be rebuilt in stone.
