New Menorah for Synagogue
A new menorah is being fabricated for the recently completed Shaare Sedek Synagogue in South Manchester, designed by the Practice.
The nine branch candle stand, also designed by AWA, will stand 1200mm high and has been water cut from solid sheets of aluminium. The fitting has a simple tree form, tying in with other organic themes in the building, with decorative branch and leaf panels set between the branches. The aluminium will be polished and cut faces finished in gold leaf.
The menorah will be installed in the building ready for the festival of Hanukkah.
