Contemporary House: Cheshire

A new contemporary house for a rural site in Cheshire.

Planning constraints dictated a low building. The accommodation is set behind a solid wall made of local stone so as to reduce its impact from the the road, whilst the garden elevation is substantially glazed, opening the living rooms to spectacular long range views and giving access to outside.

Sustainability is a key factor in the design, which includes a green roof, high levels of insulation to solid elements and underfloor heating via ground source heat pump.
