Manor House, Cheshire
This project involves the careful repair and restoration of a Grade II listed Medieval manor house, together with alterations and a contemporary reworking of the rear elevation to refurbish the building as a home for the owners. Associated barns and outbuildings will also be refurbished under a further phase of work.
Detailed research was carried out into the original construction and the existing structure was carefully recorded. Traditional repair and framing techniques were employed in the restoration in conjunction with lime-based and other sympathetic materials. A steel framed shed was erected over the building to provide shelter from the elements during the works.
